Here are a few of my piccies from Sheffield..hopefully some I haven't posted before. Some of them aren't such great quality, especially of David...that man is impossible to photograph!
I have already made reports of the concert, so I won't repeat myself, as you've probably all read them, however, I just have to say that this was definitely the best concert, vocally, that I have been too.
Edinburgh Castle still holds that special night for me, but there is no doubt that the guys are singing so much better together now...They sing individually more strongly, but together they are just a part of the whole. Magnificent!
I have to say for me personally, the night belonged to David and Carlos. They just beamed huge smiles all night, interacted with the audience more, which is not to say that Seb and Urs didn't...but Carlos especially seemed to just connect with the audience all the time, with a wink and a wide grin.
Some times it's good to just be a S.C.U.D. with no particular favourites, so you can view the concert as a whole, more objectively, and I think I did that, though my Diva, and now my original Cutie leanings are surfacing again!
David is the instigator of all the clapping and the dancing, and he really seems to enjoy that.
And his high notes are just amazing; that man puts his heart and soul into his singing...he looks exhausted after a particularly powerful song, but on and on he goes, without stinting in his performance. truly amazing.
Urs is just so much more at ease with both the adulation of the fans and being on stage....He smiled the whole night long, and seemed to make eye contact a lot.
His voice too has improved live, he hits every note perfectly, and his harmonising especially during 'Caruso' brings tears to your eyes. He doesn't do this bit on the CD, so it just makes a live performance so much better.
Seb was smiling and shaking hands, when he was walking through the pen, but I just watched, and didn't want to spoil the moment by taking pictures.
I do hope this part of the show comtinues, as I had forgotten he did this, to be honest, and got a huge surprise when he just appeared in his 'tails'.
I think this part will stay, so long as no-one tries to impede him or grab him in any way...So it's up to us to behave ladies!!!
The whole stage setting is really classy, and I'm sorry that I missed some of the background stuff, while twisting in my seat to look at the guys. So if you aren't in the 'pen' which I won't be either for the next concerts, you will get a much better look at the whole Il Divo experience.
Sorry, I've waffled again...just can't help myself! Now to some piccies. xx
