Il Divo to perform theme track of new soap opera
We are thrilled to announce that Il Divo have been asked to record the theme song to a primetime Mexican TV drama.

The song 'Sortilegio de Amor' has been written by the Brazilian composer Denisse de Kalafe especially for the guys to sing and will be aired over the credits of new soap opera, 'Sortilegio'. It is the latest production from successful Mexican director, Carla Estrada.

'Sortilegio' begins on 1st June, just two weeks before Il Divo's highly anticipated "An Evening with Il Divo Tour" reaches Mexico, which kicks off on 10th June.

It's certain that Il Divo's unique brand of romantic, passionate music will perfectly compliment the drama and intrigue that is key to the Mexican soap opera's success.

'The importance of music in telenovelas, soap operas or any drama TV show is actually as important as the drama itself because it sets the tone and provides ambience', explained David. 'The telenovela being the number one most watched drama style - I think it's 2 billion people globally - is very important. Being asked to sing this track made us feel really honoured.'

This is not official, but in a meeting with Sony mexico and a few fan clubs, Sony told them that probably next month here in mexico we will have a new edition of the CD The Promise, with the song and video of the telenovela Sortilegio. I don´t know if the guys will appear in the video or is the video that appears at the beginning of Sortilegio.
