Ils me suivront à New York.

And the translation:

"Many people thought we would not be here long. Even us, we were confident that our career would last a year or two. I think we're there because we have all four the same passion for music and that we offer quality. "

At the other end of the line, Sébastien Izambard, one of four members of Il Divo, a group that is recognized worldwide in opera and pop, is beautiful mood. The singer plays the "Canadian accent, talking about poutine and" roteuse.

"I have good memories of Quebec. I made a solo album in 22 years, and I received a nice welcome home, "he says. Il Divo, we came to Canada at different times of the year. We have seen several seasons and it is always beautiful, "he adds.

TOURING

With its 22 million albums sold worldwide, the group Il Divo begins this week, his Canadian tour in Halifax. It stops at the Bell Center, April 30.

Since its formation in 2004, following hearings orchestrated by Simon Cowell, the nasty judge of American Idol, Il Divo ride on gold. In Canada, the singers have sold more than 1.5 million albums, which represents 7% of global sales. In Quebec, the discs have found 400 000 takers.

The first three discs of the group have won 39 times the number one in the world. "We stopped one year. My wife had twins, a boy and a girl. They now have a year and I wanted to take care of them. They follow me in New York. I hope they will be here in Montreal, "said Izambard.

In total, David Miller, Carlos Marin, Urs Bühler Sébastien Izambard visit and no less than 13 cities across the country. The group will offer songs from their albums as well as new parts.

This world tour, entitled An Evening with Il Divo, began February 21 in Manchester, with performances in Ireland, Holland, Denmark ... Besides Canada, the tour will cross all continents and will conclude in Australia, Japan and South-East Asia.

Sébastien Izambard Divo knows he has caused the emergence of several groups, singers or opera singers in flavor. Paul Potts, The Priest and others were born in the wake of Il Divo.

"I think there's room for everyone. Personally, I like Coldplay, but I also like RadioHead. These are groups who target the same audience. "

At the time of our interview, Sébastien Izambard had not seen the performance of the now famous Susan Boyle, who has to shine through his lyrical voice to Britain's Got Talent. "I heard about it, but I have not watched the video," the singer said in closing.
